take a look at these, [LINK] [this video] Sculpting is very different from traditional modelling, so it might take some time to get used to it.

I am watching a YouTube tutorial on sculpting and I can't seem to figure out how he suddenly created a box around his mesh... [LINK] I don't believe it is bounding box because when I searched up how to create bounding boxes, it sounds like multiple steps to do so. All the guy did in the video was change to edit mode, unless he pressed a shortcut key. Can anybody tell me what this guy did to get the box around the mesh for editing? PS: I'm fairly new to Blender but I know the basics. Here is the video I was watching: [this video]

try this: enable dyntopo, then in the options bar above smooth shading, enable relative detail, what relative detail does is that no matter how much zoomed in or out you are, the size of your strokes will be relative only to what you set in the size options of your brush. next zoom very close to the part of the abdomen that you want to smooth, and smooth it with the correct sized brush, in theory, that should work. it should also be noted that the more polygons you have in there, the more gentle the smoothing will be, you can read more here: smooth brush is destroying my model, what is happening? I am following this tutorial" [this video] ", however, when he smooths his dinosaur it's pretty tame, but when I do it, it devours my model, like below: before: [LINK] [LINK] after: [LINK] [LINK] I have read in some threads that you have to apply subdivision vertices with the clay first, and then smooth out, but that isn't working for me, can anyone help. also if someone knows why my dinosaur legs are completely glitchy please tell me.

I've just picked up Blender recently and after learning all of the basics, I attempted to make a base mesh for sculpting a Great Maccao (a raptor-like creature from a video game). I've gotten thus far and whenever I attempt to sculpt on it, the results are not pretty. I followed this tutorial, since it has the roughly the same shape in mind ( [this video] ). Any ideas of what I've done wrong? Any and all help is appreciated. [LINK] [LINK] [LINK]
