What it is

A roughly nine-minute Blender 2.80 tutorial by Luwizart showing how to set up the Rigify add-on to generate a ready-made character rig. It walks through adding the meta-rig, fitting it to a mesh, generating the rig and parenting the mesh with automatic weights.

I believe, that it's better to start with prepared rigging system like Rigify [this video] For small project it should be enough

Automatic weight is cool, but not perfect sometimes. You need to adjust weights manually. This video should help [this video]

I recreated the steps with your file and used parenting the mesh to the armature "With automatic weights"...and the result was nearly the same. First thing is: You need more bones! :) The fingers are too far away to be moved with the lower arm bone. The reason, why the lower left bone moves parts of the right leg (for example) is probably a too large value for its envelope. Sounds crazy somehow, doesn't it? :) "With automatic weight" does the following: Bone by bone is heated up. Then each vertex is measured for the amount of radiation of each bone it has received. This value determines the amount of movement it does, when the according bone gets moved. You can check for that values by enter

I feel like I am missing something very simple. I used rigify and this video: [this video] (which I think I followed pretty well) to try to rig a mesh of a human in 3D. While I can move the rig, the mesh and underlying bones do not transform at all. I feel like (and hope) this is an easy fix that I don't yet understand. Blend file: [LINK]

So i'm trying multiple kind of rigging for my character and rn i'm trying rigify. i'm following this tutorial: [this video] But at the moment where he apply automatic weight, i go from this : [LINK] To This : [LINK] I've tried working manualy on the weighting but it's way too long and i think there might be a simplier way, i just can't find it. Here's the file [LINK] Could you help me please ?
