@archiheart I'm not sure which tutorial you were watching, but in the one that Blender Guru did here [this video] , he is actually in Object mode when he's demonstrating the technique. (That tutorial was done in Blender 2.8 so snapping doesn't have nearly as many options on the dropdown but the technique is the same.) –

I'm trying to fill the space between an outer an inner circle with faces. When I select the vertices I want to use to make the face it doesn't work. This is the tutorial I'm following for this. [this video] I'm at the part for the screw. I've done exactly what they've done in the video but it always does the same wrong thing for me. If anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong, please let me know. I'll include a picture of what it does for me. If you were wondering, I selected the vertices on the hexagon closest to the vertices I selected on the outer circle. Blender changes the ones I selected when I try to make the face. [LINK]

I am following a tutorial ( [this video] ) about modelling a chair, when Shearing and Loopsliding come up at 12 min. It´s recommended to hold down alt or click C in order to activate the loopslide effect of a sheared mesh. I basicly selected two vertecies (one on each side) at the edge of the mesh and want to move the vertecies higher along the face, but the shortcuts alt or c won´t work. [LINK] I think it makes sense to use G before every other shortcut, but that didn´t help either. Is there another way for this? Here´s the file [LINK]
