What it is

A 40-minute Blender tutorial by quollism on the "Bake Sound to F-Curves" function, covering its options, how to use the baked data on objects and armatures, and a short tour of the audio spectrum. The second half shows how to isolate specific frequencies to make a drummer armature trigger its own actions without manual keyframing.

This [this video] is a great Youtube tutorial on using the 'bake sound to f-curves' to drive animation, starting with very basic movements based on the sound graph to being able to control different parts of animation based on different stems of audio. It uses Blender v2.79 but I recently followed along using v2.82 and it is still very comprehendible.

Just working my way through this tutorial [this video] . . . Got to about 5.55 in the video and hit a snag. My soundfile [LINK] loads into the graph editor, but instead of appearing as a series of curves, it shows up as collection of squared-off straight lines. [LINK] Here are the import settings: [LINK] . . . and .blend [LINK] file. Anybody know what gives?

I made an animation, using bones and converted sound into an f-curve, like in the first part of this tutorial: [this video] . How can I export this animation into Unity now? As I understand this animation depends on "constrains" and “drivers” inside Blender, is there an acceptable way to export this animation into Unity?

I am trying to use sound to drive my animation like in the second section of this tutorial ( [this video] ) I have created a utility bone with 'bake sound into f curve' and I am trying to paste the property to my right arm bone. The utility bone moves as I would like but when I try to link it to the right arm bone, it does not work. I have tried pasting the absolute path of the custom property while it is in Pose Mode, which is bpy.data.armatures["Armature.006"]["sound final"] but I am getting an ERROR: Invalid Python expression and my curve is still the default one as opposed to changing into the sound curve. I notice in the tutorial, it looks like the path is something like pose.bone["name"] bu
