Such effects are possible by using Extra curves addon (Add > Curve > Knots > Bounce Spline] and by animation nodes add-on (As explained in this tutorial: [this video] ) As the Geometry Nodes was added into Blender 2.92+, I was thinking if such results are achievable using Geometry nodes? This can be theoretically done by these methods: In the geometry node, create a "Point distribution node" and then derive the "Position" attribute of Control points of a curve, using the "Position" attribute of the Points created using aforementioned "Point Distribution Node". If Geometry Nodes do not allow manipulation of Curve's control points procedurally then a line with adequate number of verts can be used t

I'm trying to reproduce this tutorial on my Blender 2.79 in Linux machine from this YouTube video: [this video] . But the problem is somewhere in this video, instructor switches to node editor and his screen looks like this: [LINK] I just draw a red circle over that option that I don't see in my Blender when I switch to node tree. In fact, my Blender looks like this: [LINK] As you can see, I don't have that option in my node editor and unfortunately, instructor does not say anything about that option (e.g. how to load it up). I will be very grateful to let me know how I can add that option in my node tree in order to be able to reproduce this tutorial. I really appreciate any comment, suggestion,

Actually, I've made a setup which uses the setup from this video [this video] , but in Geometry nodes. It looks very close, but has a lot of noodles going out from shape: [LINK] I believe it might help future googlers.
