Your problem is the UV unwrap. If you look at your texture in textured view, you will see a zig-zag seam in the mapping. Your staff, unfortunately, has a very irregular topology so it will be hard to unwrap properly. 2 solutions. The easy one first, but it will only work from certain angles. Position your camera, look through it at the model, select the model, go into edit mode, press U and select project from view. Quick and dirty Or use projection paint to manually clone the texture onto your object. In edit mode press U -> smart UV project. And then do what's called projection painting, there are lots of tuts about that, e.g. here: [this video]

I went to use the F clone brush for the first time after viewing this tutorial [this video] on texturing. However, Blender (v2.77a) only has one brush, called TexDraw . I was wondering: How can I get all the brushes that should be included, or how can I create a F clone brush that works. Any help would be much appreciated. Okay I started a new blender project and went immediately into texture paint. Again, all the brushes aren't there !. Does anyone know of any settings that could be responsible for this? I attached two screenshots to show you : here you can see that the author of the tutorial is using blender 2.72 and he can use a lot of brushes : [LINK] Instead,I can use only the TexDraw brush on

I'm working on the projection paiting explained on this tutorial [this video] . My problem is that I have completed the tutorial and it seems that there are no problem,as you can see here : [LINK] but this is what happens when I close and reopen blender : [LINK] Something does not work. I tried to make two operations to fix the problem, but they didn't do it. 1) I gone under image/pack image as png and I packed the textures as png but it didn't work. Plus, sometimes the pack image as png option appears, sometimes not. why ? 2) I gone under slots/save all images but it didn't work what can I do now ? thanks. [LINK]

perhaps create a mesh for the head, then a bandage that will stick to the head with a shrinkwrap, then put some hooks or bones to control the bandage, and use the Projection Painting technique to paint the bandage? [this video] [LINK] [LINK]

There are a lot of ways to do that. You can use some Projection painting [this video] , or some stencil painting [LINK] , or use the UV Project modifier [LINK] , or hand paint the texture yourself (since it's a few black strokes on white background, I think it's actually the fastest and easier way to go).
